For this, the following requirements will be necessary:

1) Certificate of freedom and tradition of the acquired property that owns the domain.

2) Communication issued by the Department of International Exchange of the Banco de la República in which the registry of the direct foreign investment for the purchase of the real estate in the name of the foreigner requesting the visa is recorded, for an amount not less than three hundred and fifty (350) current legal monthly minimum wages.

3) A valid passport showing biographical data.

4) Proof of legal entry into the country.


This M type Investment Visa is granted for 1 to 3 years. Then there is another option called the Foreign Direct Investment Visa type R where the foreigner must register with the International Exchange Department of the Banco de la República, a foreign direct investment whose amount is higher than six hundred fifty (650) legal monthly minimums in force. This type of Visa has an indefinite validity.
